A work of art in book form dedicated to the great value of Italian genius and its talent and skill at creating beauty through the figure and oeuvre of Antonio Canova, the artist who chose beauty and art as a means of expression, which he then bequeathed to future generations.

Today, in tribute to the man who became the greatest exponent of Neoclassicism, Antonio Canova.  The Invention of Beauty is born, a total work of art in book form, entirely conceived of and planned by the Fondazione Marilena Ferrara-FMR, and published by the Art House of the same name.

To achieve the utmost technical and artisanal perfection, the workmanship required was entrusted to the most exclusive workshops, and ones which represent the great tradition that is known as "Made in Italy", where the modern artificers of creativity and genius all work.

The volume is a veritable monument to the return of the workshop of Renaissance inspiration, where intellectual and manual wisdom, knowledge and know-how all become one, and concrete proof of Michelangelo's famous words "the hand that obeys the intellect".
